Charis Michael named new MHV chief

MHV Mediterranean Hospitality Venture Limited, announces the appointment of Charis Michael as the company CEO at the joint investment venture of Invel Real Estate, PRODEA Investments and YODA GROUP.

Mainly active in the hospitality, tourism, and the real estate sectors, MHV’s portfolio consists of luxury hotel complexes and state-of-the-art developments both in Cyprus and abroad. The company owns and manages prominent luxury resorts such as Parklane a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, The Landmark Nicosia, Aphrodite Hills Resort and Nikki Beach in Porto Heli. As for the real estate, MHV has acquired noteworthy projects such as the Park Tower, the imminent development of the Landmark Tower and the residential units at Aphrodite Hills. Always looking to widen its portfolio, the company is also currently exploring a selection of significant projects across the Eastern Mediterranean area.

Commenting on the company vision in light of Mr. Michael’s recent appointment, MHV released a statement: “We intend for MHV’s portfolio of landmark projects to make a statement both on the Cypriot market and across South-Eastern Europe as a whole. Mr. Michael’s vast experience in the hospitality and tourism industry includes various management roles within Hilton, while he also worked with Marriott International as Managing Director of Parklane a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa and previously as the Managing Director of The Landmark Nicosia. Today, Mr. Michael serves on the Board of Directors of numerous organisations including the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Cyprus Tourism Development Company Ltd, Parklane Hotels Ltd and MHV Lifestyle Ltd. He is also a member of the Cyprus Hotel Association. He holds an MBA in International Business Administration and a BSc in Hotel Business Management from Johnson & Wales University, USA.
