A 35-year-old man is in custody in Paphos in connection with possession of burglary tools, breaking into a shop with intent to steal, and use of drugs.

According to police, the man allegedly broke into a shop through the front door around midnight on Monday.

Upon arrival at the scene, police officers questioned the 35-year-old, who is a permanent resident of Cyprus, but he could not provide convincing explanation of why he was in the shop and was therefore arrested.
