Police investigate after weapons and ammunition stolen from house

Paphos police are investigating after a 48-year-old man reported that several weapons and ammunition were stolen from his house among other valuable items.

The man told police that unknown people broke into his house in a specific village of the district between 8 to 10pm on Tuesday.

The culprits stole a military rifle and ammunition, two hunting shotguns, a flobert gun, a bipod and several shotgun cartridges as well as a number of gold jewellery.

Officers who arrived at the scene concluded the thieves entered the house through the kitchen window which they violated using a sharp object.

Police collected evidence from the scene to identify the suspects.
