Teenage driver hits pedestrian

Paphos General Hospital

Paphos traffic police were investigating the causes of a traffic accident on Thursday after a teenage driver hit a pedestrian, 67, who is hospitalised in the district’s general hospital.

The accident occurred on Anexartisias street on Wednesday when the car of a 19-year-old teen hit a 67-year-old woman who was trying to cross the road.

Police said the injured woman was transferred to the accidents and emergency department of Paphos general hospital.

She was kept for further treatment after she was diagnosed with various fractures in her body.
