Boy who dreams of being firefighter gets birthday visit from the real thing

A primary school boy dreaming of becoming a fireman when he grows up had the surprise of his life this week after being visited by a group of firefighters aboard a fire engine on his birthday.

On the initiative of his teachers and classmates, the fire service sent a vehicle to the boy’s house where he was forced to stay home for several days due to a health problem. The boy and his twin sister got to meet the firefighters and get a close-up of the engine.

The fire service said it was their birthday gift to the boy was very excited to see them.

“For us, kid, it was the least we could do,” the fire service said.
