Polis Chrysochous police have arrested a 38-year-old man as they investigate a break-in of an office, theft, and possession of drugs.

Paphos deputy police chief Michalis Ioannou told the Cyprus News Agency that a payments office had been broken into at Polis Chrysochous on Christmas Day. The owner filed a complaint to police that property of some €11,000 had been taken – including a server worth €10,000, a laptop worth €500, cash of €40, and a DJ console of €500.

Police who went to the scene determined that the lock of the entrance had been removed with a sharp object. Evidence was taken for scientific investigation. Police also obtained testimony against a man aged 38, permanent resident of Polis who was arrested. A police search of his apartment led to the discovery of drugs. Paphos CID and Polis Chrysochous police station are investigating the case in cooperation with the drug squad, Ykan.
