Two men armed with a gun and a knife robbed a kiosk in Limassol on Monday morning, police said.

It was the third kiosk robbery in the space of a few days with the same modus operandi.

The pair entered the kiosk in the Ayia Phyla area at around 10.30am. They fled the scene after taking an undisclosed sum of cash.

Police believe the perpetrators could be the same ones who robbed a kiosk in Limassol last Thursday and another one on New Year’s Day.

The employee of the first kiosk had said that they demanded the cash in broken Greek. Reports said the authorities suspected the perpetrators were Asian.
