Paphos police on Friday arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of illegal possession of drugs and burglary tools.
The man was found by patrol officers hiding behind a car at around 3am on Friday.
Officers approached the suspect, who allegedly started running and tried to hide in a nearby field to escape.
During a body search that followed, various tools that are usually used in burglaries, as well as a small quantity of drugs were found in a bag held by the suspect.
According to the Cyprus News Agency, the drugs appear to be cannabis and crystal meth.
After that, the 39-year-old led the police to a place where he had hidden certain items — two car batteries and some curtains — he admitted to stealing.
