Coronavirus: Eight people fined after 1,648 checks

Eight people were booked for violating coronavirus protocols after 1,648 checks in the last 24 hours, police said Thursday.

Most people, six, were booked in Famagusta where 395 checks were conducted while one person was booked in Larnaca after 372 checks and another in Paphos after 50 checks.

No violations were reported in Nicosia, Limassol nor in Morphou after 412, 120 and 46 checks respectively.

Traffic, marine and port police also carried out 128 and 125 checks each, without any bookings.
