Coronavirus: Two individuals, one cafeteria fined

In the last 24 hours, police fined two individuals and one establishment for violation of Covid decrees.

A total of 1,259 inspections were carried out. In Nicosia and Limassol, no fines were issued following 259 and 117 checks respectively.

In Larnaca, 340 inspections were carried out resulting in two individuals and one business being fined. One individual was fined for non-use of a mask and the second for an invalid SafePass. A cafeteria was fined € 500 for staff working without masks.

In Paphos and Famagusta, after 42 and 359 inspections respectively, no fines were issued.

Traffic police carried out 126 inspections, without any fines issued, while the coast guard carried out 16 inspections without incident.
