Four people arrested in connection with stolen property

Police arrested four people for theft and illegal possession of property in Famagusta district on Monday.

During a search of the residence of a 29-year-old suspect conducted with his written consent, police found agricultural machinery, car batteries and other items. The 29-year-old allegedly confessed that these were stolen items during police questioning.

Searches of two other residences were carried out and various objects were found, for the possession of which three additional suspects did not give satisfactory explanations.

The items were were taken for further examination, to determine whether they are also stolen.

The four suspects were arrested and detained while the Famagusta Police Department continues investigating.
