Police said on Tuesday that 525 traffic violations were recorded during the Easter holiday weekend, some of which include the leading causes of road fatalities.

According to police officers active across the road network to prevent serious and fatal traffic collisions and ensure safe movement.

A total of 225 drivers were fined for speeding while 21 tested positive for driving under the influence of alcohol while another 19 were found to be driving under the influence of controlled substances, police said.
