Gnomi Integrated Communications has won the IKEA Cyprus competition to become the advertising agency that now handles the brand in the local market.
“Serving such brands is an education,” remarked Gnomi General Manager Marios Ioannou, in the wake of the win.
Already, the Gnomi team has participated in a successful workshop at which IKEA Marketing Manager Sophia Vorka and her colleagues conveyed the brand’s culture and values in an interactive, fun way.
“This is how the right partnerships begin: ensuring that the people who will work for the brand, feel, first-hand, the brand personality, which, together with IKEA’s people, they will undertake to protect and develop,” noted Marketing Manager Vorka.
The Swedish international giant entered the Cypriot market in 2007 and continues to consolidate its position as the home furnishing specialist and trend-setter.
Gnomi Head of Strategic Communications Marianna Zervidou noted: “Home as a value has always been important to Cypriots, Cypriot culture and hospitality. But in the new reality we live in today, it is redefined and becomes even more meaningful.
“The pandemic, combined with the economic crisis, is leading people to desire to make their spaces beautiful, where they will share important moments with their family and friends,” she continued.
“Home is no longer the place we return to after work; it is the space in which we meet, have fun, work, study, eat and dream; it is the space in which we find each other again. Thus, IKEA – a brand created to make home life ever more pleasant – is more relevant today than ever before.”
Gnomi, has been a leading player in the Cypriot market for 55 years, with notable and award-winning business to its credit and a clientele that combines major international and local customers. It enthusiastically welcomes IKEA Cyprus and promises to act as a brand guardian, helping the brand to reach its goals successfully.
