Police arrest third man in case of premeditated murder of 60-year-old

A 27-year-old man was taken into custody to facilitate investigation into the murder of 60-year old Leontios Pogiatzis last July, in Paphos district.

The body of the 60-year-old was found charred inside a car which had been completely destroyed by fire in the vicinity of ​​Anarita. Police investigation of the scene revealed that the fire had been set maliciously.

Police have taken into custody two other men, aged 41 and 34, in connection with the crime.

A legal autopsy performed on the body showed that the death of the 60-year-old came from injuries to the abdomen caused by a firearm.

The case in under ongoing investigation.
