A teenager was injured after a violent incident at Pournara reception camp for asylum seekers and migrants, police said on Thursday.

Minors were involved in a fight around 9pm on Wednesday at the Kokkinotrimithia centre, police told the Cyprus News Agency.

One of the youths, aged 17, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Nicosia general hospital where he received treatment. He was diagnosed with minor injuries on his nose.

This comes days after police had to break out two mass fights involving adults at the centre on Saturday morning and afternoon. The second fight resulted to the hospitalisation of one person.
