Work to begin on creation of smart parking in Nicosia

Some parking areas in Nicosia from Tuesday, May 31, will close for the installation of sensors designed to allow drivers to find spaces more easily, the capital’s municipality said on Thursday.

The pilot system will come on line on Tuesday May 31 until Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 7. 30am.

According to the municipality, the places where the smart sensors will be placed in Nicosia at Stasikratos, Zenas Kanther, Theofani Theodotou and Mnasiadou streets.

The purpose of the installation of sensors is to inform and serve drivers to find parking much easier, as well as to help the traffic police to detect violations in the area.
