Pastry chef Michael Mavromoustakis created optical illusion desserts during a chocolate master class for professional chefs at Intercollege in Nicosia.

During the 10-hour workshop, professional pastry chefs made a set of candles, several plant pots and even a cigar, all from chocolate. The workshop was led by Mavromoustakis, the award-winning graduate of the institution’s culinary arts programme.

The masterclass was part of the 25-year anniversary celebrations of Intercollege’s culinary arts programme, and took place at its laboratory at the University of Nicosia.

Intercollege announced that more master classes for professionals will be held soon in addition to training programmes on cooking, pastry, mixology and oenology.
