President in Brussels for European Council

President Anastasiades left for Brussels on Wednesday to take part in the European Council meetings.

On the agenda of the European summit, which will be held on Thursday and Friday will be Ukraine, economic issues and the conference for the future of Europe.

An announcement by the presidency, said that Anastasiades would meet European heads of government on the sidelines of the summit and discuss issues of common interest. He would also brief them about the latest developments on the Cyprus problem and the new provocations and threats by Turkey, said the presidency.

Anastasiades would be accompanied by the government spokesman Marios Pelekanos and the under-secretary to the president Kyriakos Kousios.
