Man caught driving nearly five times over limit

Drunk Driver In Car

Police in Paralimni have charged a man with drunk driving after he was caught behind the steering wheel nearly five times over the legal limit, the Cyprus News Agency reported on Friday.

The driver, aged 33, was stopped on the Protaras to Paralimni road at around 4.00 am on Friday.

He underwent a breathalyser with an initial reading of 95μg% and a final reading of 104μg%. The legal limit is 22μg%.

He was charged in writing and released to appear in court at a later stage.
