Arrest in Kyrenia after dog thrown off balcony

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Kyrenia after throwing his dog from the fifth floor resulting in its death, Turkish Cypriot media reported on Tuesday.

The incident took place around 9am on Monday, when the suspect, who was staying on the fifth floor of an apartment building in Kyrenia, threw his dog off the balcony, authorities in the north said.

The suspect was arrested, while investigation continues.

Media reported that due to the fall, the white Pitbull died on the spot.
