A new art exhibition coming to Limassol as July rolls in blends art with a powerful message. The photography exhibition Respect will open at Exhibit8 Gallery on Friday and until the middle of the month it invites visitors to observe the challenging job of firefighters.

Curated by Andri Aristotelous, the exhibition is in collaboration with the Cyprus Fire Service and is dedicated to firefighters, the people who put their lives in danger every day for the safety of the public and the environment. With the aim of paying respect to the difficult and life-threatening work of firefighters, the exhibition highlights through a series of photos the challenges they face. Part of the work of the Fire Service is displayed and a small tribute is paid to the firefighters who were lost on duty.

Respect presents photographic material provided by the Fire Service, by professional and amateur photographers as well as images by photographer Max Zhiltsov, a partner of Exhibit8 Gallery. Adding another thoughtful layer to the exhibition is the fact that all of the net proceeds from the sales of the exhibition will be donated to the Pancyprian Organization of People with Kidney Disorders.
