Live music in Larnaca and Limassol

2

Adding to July’s musical agenda are a couple of events in the island’s coastal cities. At Larnaca’s The Tudor Inn Bar on Wednesday will be a jazzy fair as local musicians pay tribute to Peggy Lee, otherwise known as the Queen of Cool.

Jazz singer Alice Ayvazian will be joined by saxophonist Marios Papares and pianist Dimitris Miaris for a night filled with memorable songs by the American singer. The repertoire will cover some of her most well-known songs such as Why Don’t You Do it Right and other solo successes.

Over in Limassol, the Rooftop Bar at the Limassol Agora also has a couple of exciting musical events planned for the first week of July. The evening on Wednesday will be dressed with songs from famous musicals and Disney movies as the piano and voice duo of Tatiana Stupak and Ksenia Belolipetskaya will present a concert with beloved Disney songs and more to enjoy during the sunset hour.

Then on July 10, a jazzy sunset performance will take place at the Rooftop Bar as Leonid Nesterov’s Trio welcomes Ehud Ettun, a double bass virtuoso from Israel. The performance starts early at 6pm, inviting guests to take in all of the colours of the sunset while sipping on afternoon cocktails and listening to live jazz.
