Arrest for use and possession of laughing gas

A 20-year-old man was arrested early Sunday for possession and use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) in Ayia Napa, police said.

At around 1.15am officers spotted the man inhaling from a balloon containing the gas on a road.

During a search of his person, they found 33 unused ampoules, six used ampoules, two devices and three balloons, police said.

He was arrested, charged and will appear in court at a later date.
