Arrest after drugs found at the house of a Limassol resident

A 27-year-old man, who has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession in Limassol, was expected to be remanded on Tuesday, police have said.

The illegal drugs were found during a search at the house of the suspect on Monday.

According to police, drug squad officers found 12 packages weighing approximately 140 grammes of cocaine as well as a package containing 250 grammes of cannabis and another two packages containing 819 grammes of cannabis in total.

Officers also found two scales with traces of cannabis and cocaine.
