A drunken tourist was arrested at a Kato Paphos hotel after management called the police following a raucous disturbance, in a case which saw the 51-year-old resisting arrest.

Paphos police received the call on Monday at 7.30pm and arrived at the location where they found the tourist causing a scene in one of the hotel’s corridors.

Paphos CID chief and police spokesman Michalis Nicolaou said that the officers had to use “proportional” force to eventually arrest the tourist who was resisting, shouting, swearing, and lashing out against the officers.
