Zenobia diver taken to hospital for pulmonary edema following rescue

The Zenobia shipwreck off the coast of Larnaca is popular with divers

A diver who was diving at the Zenobia wreck off ​​Larnaca, suffered a pulmonary edema and was taken to the Larnaca general hospital for treatment.

Larnaca Search and Rescue Coordination Centre stated that “at around 10:20 on the morning of Tuesday, July 5, the Larnaca KSED received information regarding a diver in danger, who had dived into the wreck Zenobia in the sea area of ​​Larnaca bay”.

The centre immediately activated the National Special Search-Rescue Plan “Nearchos”, mobilising a Port & Maritime Police vessel and an ambulance to collect the diver.

The statement added that “the diver who suffered pulmonary edema was picked up by the ambulance and transferred to the Larnaca general hospital for further medical treatment”.
