A Minute with Andreas Aspros Dentist

minute

Where do you live?
I live in the city centre of Paphos with my wife Helen and my children Constantinos, Andreas, Xanthoulla and Nicolas.

What did you have for breakfast?
Always in the mornings because of the diet I drink Nescafe with soy milk and eat two slices of Virginia ham, 2 slices of diet cheese, two tablespoons of cottage cheese and two cucumbers.

Describe your perfect day
The perfect day for me is to focus on present, giving importance and value to every minute I live, enjoying what I do with joy and love without thoughts and worries about tomorrow.

Best book ever read?
My favourite book is an old one, written in 1937, by Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich, because the writer conveys his unwavering belief that each person is solely responsible for the life he will live, but also gives some practical ways to achieve the goals you set.

Best childhood memory?
I really can’t pick out any. My whole childhood is a sweet memory that I look back on when I want to get strength. Many times, I think of my childhood as a fairy tale in which each page, each chapter has its own interest and value.

What is always in your fridge?
What I eat for breakfast. Virginia ham, diet cheese, cottage cheese, cucumbers, soy milk and yogurt.

What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
I listen to everything. Classical music, the favourite Greek and foreign songs of the 80s and 90s, modern foreign and Greek songs, rock and latest electronic music.

What’s your spirit animal?
Dog. An animal with unpretentious love, gratitude and complete devotion to its ‘boss’.

What are you most proud of?
Certainly my family but also for my daily struggle for improvement in all areas of my life.

What movie scene has really stayed with you?
Rocky 4. Moscow, Christmas Day match between Rocky and Soviet giant Ivan Drago. The first round begins as nightmarish for Rocky as the second. Towards the end of the second-round Rocky recovers with a terrible crook. Rocky’s coach at that very moment urges him to continue by telling him that he is a man and not a machine.

If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
Phil Knight, founder of Nike, for his faith and dedication to what he did even when faced with problems that seemed insurmountable but also for the creation of a capable team around him, elements that led him to build a global giant.

If you could time travel when/where would you go?
Without discussion back to my childhood, only for the purity and simplicity of my childhood life.

What is your greatest fear?
I try to live without fear. It is a bad feeling which prevents man from living in gratitude and enjoying the blessings of life.

What would you say to your 18-year-old self?
Live every moment, be grateful for what you have, always dream and believe.

Name the one thing that would stop you dating someone
I would never go out with a person who wants to bring me to his own measure, keep me stagnant and oppress me.

If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Nothing special because I always try to live in the present and take the maximum from every minute, hour and day of my life but at the same time to offer the best I can to other people.
