A case of conspiracy to commit a crime and rob against an electric scooter driver is being investigated by Limassol CID against two men on a quad bike.

According to a complaint made by the 62-year-old man on the scooter, the black quad bike crashed into him on purpose, causing him injury as he fell to the ground, police said on Saturday.

He reported that one of the men grabbed his bag, which has fallen to the ground, which had about €50 in coins, personal documents and his ID card in addition to the keys to four cars and his home.

In his attempt to get the bag back, the 62-year-old said he was punched on the helmet he was wearing which meant he was again knocked to the ground while the perpetrators ran off.

The man was taken by ambulance to Limassol hospital where he received first aid and was released.

The suspects are described as 30 to 35-years-old and were wearing black clothes and black helmets.
