A 12-year-old boy from Larnaca who has set up a lemonade stand outside his house for the summer will donate 20 per cent of his profits to charity.

His initiative was welcomed by Larnaca mayor Andreas Vyras who visited young Stephanos’ business earlier this week.

Stephanos’, who created the portable stand with the help of his father, is charging €1 for each lemonade, 20 per cent of which will be donated to a charity.

“Actions such as that of our young fellow citizen Stephanos are to be emulated and make him an active young citizen who sets a good example to us all,” Larnaca municipality said in a statement, wishing “every success” to the new entrepreneur.

Locals can purchase their drink from 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 7pm daily on 14 Kalogreon street.
