A 22-year-old woman has been remanded in custody for a case of forgery and impersonation after she was found trying to leave the country, police said on Monday.

During checks at passport control on July 23, at 5pm she attempted to leave for Vienna.

The woman of African origin had French ID card, which police determined to be forged.

During questioning, she gave her real personal details. She was arrested and on Sunday taken to court where she was remanded for three days.
