A call for electoral registration and participation in the coming elections was extended to the youth by presidential candidate Achilleas Demetriades on Thursday during the inauguration of his electoral headquarters in Nicosia.
During the event, Demetriades announced that a concert dedicated to the youth was being organised on September 16 featuring popular band “Onirama” and will be free of charge for those who register to vote.
Opening for Onirama will be Cypriot Nikos Georgiou.
Demetriades’ team will be offering support to new voters in registering for the elections until the deadline.
Demetriades also announced that he will be hitting the road with his tour bus visiting cities and villages, in order to directly interact with citizens across the island.
In his brief speech, Demetriades focused on the anti-systemic character of his candidacy inviting citizens to utilise his headquarters space by holding meetings both physically and virtually, contributing in the shaping of his governance programme.
The event was crowded while many young people had the opportunity to meet and discuss with Demetriades in a relaxed atmosphere.
Love FM 100.7 radio was also broadcasting live.
Demetriades’ headquarter is situated in Kennedy Avenue 44 and Esperidon St in Nicosia.
