Firefighters on Saturday rescued a fox that became trapped in pool of recycled water at the wastewater treatment plant in Athienou.

In his post on Twitter on Saturday afternoon, the press spokesman of the fire service, Andreas Kettis, wrote: “Well done to our members! After perfect cooperation between Emak and the fire service, a fox was rescued with a special operation when it became trapped in a pool of recycled water at the wastewater treatment plant in the Municipality of Athienou”.

According to Kettis, after the fox was rescued, it was released into its natural environment following the instructions of the game and wildlife service.
