A driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision in which a cyclist was killed early in Saturday has been arrested after turning himself into police.

Romanian national Cristian Rosu, 25, was killed after a collision with a car whose driver fled the scene following the crash.

The accident happened at around 5am Saturday on Rik Avenue in Nicosia.

Later Saturday, police arrested the driver aged 26 who turned himself in later in the day at the Nicosia traffic department.
