Man 40, arrested on suspicion of assault

Police on Wednesday said they arrested a 40-year-old man after he fought an injured a 42-year-old in Paphos on Tuesday evening.

According to police the two men were reported to have been fighting on Socratous Street in Paphos at 6:50pm.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the 42-year-old with serious injuries, and called an ambulance to take him to Paphos A&E.

Doctors there determined that the man had a broken nose.

Witnesses told police that the injured man had been fighting with the 40-year-old. Based on these statements police found and arrested him.
