Recreational centre for Larnaca

Larnaca municipality

Larnaca municipality launched a tender on Thursday to construct an events and recreation centre in the Tsiakkilero area of the city.

According to an announcement from the municipality, the tender launch follows the agreement they signed for the use of government land with the department of urban planning.

The event/recreation centre that will be created will include a children’s play area, a sports area for athletes, an open-air amphitheatre for 150 people, a refreshment room and restrooms.

Lighting, water supply and plants will also take place as part of the project.

The total project is expected to cost €890,000 + VAT, and the study of the area was made by AF Modinos & SA Vrahimis Architects & Engineers.

The project will be cofunded by the European Union as part of the ‘Thalia 2021-2027’ programme, the government, and the Larnaca municipality.
