Arrests in Paphos for drugs possession

Two people found in possession of illegal drugs have been arrested in Paphos, police said on Saturday.

One of the two, aged 26, was residing in the country illegally.

He was arrested on Friday night after officers found 22 grammes of cannabis and four grammes of cocaine in his car. The suspect also refused to give a sample for a narcotest.

In another case, a car driven by a 22-year-old man was stopped for a check in the district the same night.

The driver was arrested after eight grammes of cannabis were found in his possession.

Officers found another 20 grammes of the illegal drug during a subsequent search of his house.
