Vaccinations with the updated, Omicron-specific dose will be available as of Tuesday, medical services director Elisavet Constantinou said.

Speaking to CyBC radio, Constantinou said that the adapted vaccines will be provided to people over the age of 30 and to vulnerable groups.

Booster vaccinations also begin on Tuesday for those aged 50 and over.

Constantinou further clarified that vaccination centres operate as walk ins and therefore appointments are not necessary.
