Big win for AEK Larnaca against Anorthosis

AEK Larnaca outscored Anorthosis 4-0 on Saturday night at the AEK Arena, in the fourth round of the Cyprus First Division Football League.

The goals for the Larnaca team were scored by Adam Gyurcso in the 14th minute, Ivan Trickovski just before half-time with a penalty, Hovhannes Hambardzumyan in the 81th with an own goal and Demetris Christofi at four minutes into extra time in the second half, also with an own goal.

With this win, AEK is now neck-and-neck with Anorthosis in the table with 7 points, with both teams having 2 wins, a draw and 2 losses.

In Saturday’s other matches, Omonia beat Doxa Katokopia 2 – 0 away from home with Bruno scoring a goal in the 42nd minute and Bezus making it 2 – 0 late in the match.

Meanwhile, Apollon were held to a 1-1 draw by Paphos at Tsireio Stadium, with both teams continuing together at the top of the table with 11 points.

Paphos took the lead at the 38 minutes-mark through Jairo and Apollona equalised at 66 minutes with a goal by Eli Hadji Ba.
