A car with Greek Cypriot number plates was in flames on the Nicosia – Kyrenia road, on the Pentadaktylos mountain, according to the news reports from the north on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Monday at around 6:20pm and the driver – a man of an unspecified age, was unharmed. The fire began due to an electrical problem and though the fire services put out the flames, the vehicle was almost entirely destroyed.
