Man suspected of stealing €1.3m goods handed over by Italian authorities

Italian authorities handed over a 50-year-old man wanted in Cyprus for several robberies from 2017 to 2018, police said on Thursday.

Authorities said that the man was handed over on Wednesday night.

He was being sought by Cypriot authorities for robberies in Limassol and Nicosia that took place from April 2017 to August 2018.

According to authorities, the man is wanted for seven robberies from which items valued at a total of €1.3 million was taken.

He is expected to appear at the Limassol District Court later Thursday.

Limassol and Nicosia police are continuing their investigations.
