Second suspect arrested for armed robbery

A second suspect was arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Paphos building complex during which two men were injured.

Two 26-year-old men were arrested on Wednesday, while police said two more persons, aged 23 and 25, remain wanted for the case.

The assault took place around 9.45pm on Monday when, according to eye witnesses, eight people holding pistols, swords and pieces of wood, allegedly entered a house in a building complex. They attacked two men, aged 20 and 24 and injured them using a knife, police said.

The perpetrators also stole two mobile phones and €500 from the two victims.

According to police, the injured men were transferred to Paphos general hospital, where they received first aid and were later discharged.
