Police identify suspect after hoax bomb threat to supreme court (Updated)

Police identified an individual who called in a bomb threat to the supreme court on Friday, authorities told the Cyprus Mail.

According to police, the individual was identified based on an anonymous tip.

An arrest warrant has been issued.

Earlier, police rushed to the supreme court, following a claim from the latter that a bomb threat was called in.

According to authorities, police arrived at the court building, where they determined that the call was a prank.

Police said that they arrived at the court shortly after 10am, and that the bomb squad was also called to the scene.

The court was evacuated, upon receiving the call.

Police are continuing their investigations.
