Larnaca district court on Wednesday banned a 32-year-old man from sports venues for four months, for his involvement in violent incidents during a football match in September.
The incidents, which resulted in injuries for a fan and a policeman, took place during an AEK – Nea Salamina match on September 11.
After evaluating evidence that the 32-year-old participated in the incidents, the court found him guilty of breaching the peace and ordered his ban from sports venues.
The ban will be effective immediately and will last for four months. During the ban, he will be required to present himself at a police station and stay there 30 minutes before and after each football match his team plays.
The court also issued a fine of €700.
This is the second football fan to be banned from stadiums, the first being a 34-year-old who was banned on November 17.
