The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce is offering free energy audits and consulting services on energy saving to small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

The initiative, announced on Thursday and part of a project co-financed by the EU “LIFE programme”, aims to increase the number of SMEs investments in energy saving measures and reduce their environmental footprint and air pollutants’ emissions.

The project focuses on three sectors, namely food production, metal processing and the hotel and catering industry.

The Chamber of Commerce added that the initiative is a collaboration of 23 partners in ten European countries and is managed by “Eurochambers”, the European umbrella organisation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry

Along with free consulting services on energy saving measures, it will also offer free tips from large companies working in the sector about energy management and the benefits of energy saving.
