Man stabbed in Limassol fight

Limassol police on Friday night arrested three foreign nationals in connection with a fight that took place, injuring one of them.

Police said the fight took place just after 7pm at a barbershop on Anexartisias street and then to an area near the Cyprus University of Technology (Tepak) library. One of the men was injured by a knife.

The victim was found covered in blood by police officers who were called to the scene to calm things down, with the victim pointing out his compatriot as the perpetrator.

The 20-year-old was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was found to have a stab wound to the abdomen. The injury though serious is not considered life threatening.

After investigations, police arrested the victim and two of his compatriots aged 24 and 21.

The three men are expected to be brought before the Limassol district court.
