Cyta celebrated the connection of its 100,000 customers to its island-wide Cyta Fibre network by offering 100 months of free internet to Andreas Michael from Geroskipou, the customer with connection number 100,000.

Having significantly accelerated the rate of development of its network, by the end of 2023 Cyta plans to fully cover all urban and suburban areas of Cyprus, with the major rural communities expected to also be completed before the end of 2025.

The Cyta Fibre optical Fibre network is the largest telecommunications infrastructure upgrade project in the country.

The company explained that its swift completion boosts Cyprus’ technological profile abroad, confirming that it is a modern, advanced country in line with technological developments.

At the same time, it contributes to the upgrading of the quality of life of the residents of Cyprus and stimulates the local economy.

“Its users can enjoy even the most demanding applications, both in terms of speed and capacity, as well as quality and reliability,” Cyta said.

“In the age of Gigabit and digital transformation, companies that leverage it ensure their potential for high productivity, efficiency and competitiveness,” the company added.
