Girl,15, in ICU following motorcycle accident

A 15-year-old girl was hospitalised in serious condition on Monday after the motorcycle she was a passenger on collided with a car the previous night.

The minor underwent surgery and was being treated in the ICU of the Nicosia general hospital, while the 24-year-old driver of the motorcycle was treated at the hospital’s surgical ward.

The car’s driver was not injured, Cyprus News Agency reported citing police sources.

The accident took place at around 10.30pm on Sunday on Larnacos avenue in Nicosia.
