President Nikos Christodoulides will travel to London on Thursday night to attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III with his wife Philippa.

In the margins of the coronation, the Cypriot president will also attend an event organised by the Commonwealth, at the invitation of its Secretary-General. The event will be held on Friday afternoon at Marlborough House, in the presence of King Charles III and the heads of state of the Commonwealth Member States.

This will be followed by a closed debate between the leaders on ‘The future of the Commonwealth, with a focus on youth’.

Afterwards, the leaders, accompanied by their spouses, will attend a reception hosted by the King and his wife at Buckingham Palace.

On Saturday, the president and his wife will go to Westminster Abbey for the coronation ceremony.

Then, on Saturday evening, Christodoulides will attend a dinner with the board of directors of the National Cyprus Federation of the United Kingdom.

The president will return to Cyprus on Sunday.
