Another 2,404 new Covid-19 infections and ten deaths were recorded in the last week, the health ministry said on Friday.

The deaths concerned seven men and three women, bringing the total death toll to 1,364 according to the health ministry’s report.

It added that there are 33 people currently being treated in hospital for coronavirus, two of whom are intubated in serious condition.

The new cases were traced from a total of 82,817 rapid and PCR tests, resulting in a positivity rate of 2.9 per cent.

To date, 660,854 coronavirus cases have been detected in Cyprus.
