A woman injured while hiking in Avakas gorge on Sunday had to be rescued by the fire service.
According to a Twitter post by fire service spokesman Andreas Kettis, shortly after 3pm the Paphos fire station was asked by the ambulance service to send a team of rescuers and assist in transporting the woman for a distance of about one kilometer out of the gorge.
The woman’s condition is out of danger.
